My entire career has been treating children and adults with neurological disorders and I still don't understand it all, and never will.  In the end, you will do well to live like your great grandparents:  eat whole food, sleep well, limit actions and people that harm you, get outside and active every single day.  Be kind, and be aware of how short and cruel life can be.

Andrew, first of all, love this new format. Short, sweet, and to the point.

Great first episode.

If you read book "The 23 Former Doctor Truths" you will exactly know what is Dr. Andrew talking about here. Modern industry is killing us quietly.

I finished that book 2 weeks ago and I can say that is amazing book. Would also recommend it. She helped me with so many of new health routines and it was actually interesting to read what she revealed about Industry and how they manipulate society.

Whether it is 30min or 3hrs, i always found myself enjoying, learning science through Dr Huberman! Thank you so much sir! The first ever episode i ever tried of yours was on Meditation in which you covered a lot of things and particularly towards the end you had described breathing techniques.
I used them on my 5 day long treks in the Himalayas and I got my heart rate under control during steep ascents! I will be your fan forever! Thank you for incredible work and dumbing down details for people like me❤

GREAT format, i applaude it! With a full-time job, various hobbies and a family to take care of, I never have the time to watch the regular 2+ hour episodes. Content summaries like these are just what I needed, thanks! And for you it´s also a win, being able to recycle old content and increasing its ROI. I hope there will be more of these, thanks

@hubermanlab please do an episode on nueroplasticity and how to change negative affects of traumatic or less than optimal experiences in adults. You touched on the fact that it is possible.
Thank you for bringing all this fascinating science to the general public! You are appreciated!

It’s really helpful to know that agitation is normal when learning something new, or when trying to suppress negative responses or behaviors. I get really stressed about the stress or agitation I feel, if that makes sense, and often want to give up or give in. Thanks for explaining how it’s perfectly normal.
